Southeastern New Mexico offers great hunting opportunities. Our primary hunts are draw hunts for elk and mule deer and day hunts for scale/blue quail. Draw hunts for antelope and free-range exotics can be applied for, and for some species arrangements can be made for private landowner hunts. We also offer coyote/predator hunts.

Brugman Outfitting is owned by Steve Brugman who has lived and hunted in southeastern New Mexico for more than 20 years. We offer personalized hunts to a limited number of hunters. Our guides are friendly, competent and experienced with knowledge of the areas and species hunted. We will work with you to plan a hunt that meets your individual hunting goals and will make every effort to match hunter abilities and budgets with a hunt that will provide a positive experience. New for 2012

New eligibility requirements to qualify as a registered outfitter in the state of New Mexico were implemented for 2012. Consequently, the list of registered outfitters has decreased from 286 in 2011 to just 135 in 2012. We are among those still registered as an outfitter and are in full compliance with the new requirements. While we can't say for a fact that this will increase your draw odds this year, it certainly is reasonable to speculate that it will. Other significant changes for 2012 are that all hunters applying for tags in the outfitter pool are required to have a signed contract with the outfitter prior to applying, and both residents and nonresidents are required to purchase a small game license to be eligible to apply for big game tags. The small game tag is $65 for nonresidents and you have the option for this to be refunded if you are not successful in the draw.
